This policy explains what personal information Velcore collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have — including for messages we send and receive through WhatsApp.

This Privacy Policy applies to Velcore, operated by Ahsas Sharma (“Velcore”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operating the website velcore.dev and the messaging services we provide through the WhatsApp Business Platform. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described here.

2. Scope

This policy covers:

  • Visitors to our website.
  • People who contact us or submit an enquiry (for example, through our contact form or by email).
  • People who message us on WhatsApp or who have opted in to receive automated updates and notifications from us on WhatsApp.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details — your name, email address, and phone / WhatsApp number.
  • Message content — the content of messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email, and our replies.
  • Enquiry details — any information you include when you contact us about a project or request.

Information collected automatically

  • Messaging metadata — your WhatsApp phone number, message timestamps, and delivery / read status for messages we send.
  • Opt-in status — a record of when and how you consented to receive messages, and any subsequent opt-out.
  • Website usage — basic, privacy-friendly analytics (such as pages viewed and approximate region) collected via our hosting and analytics providers. We do not use these to build advertising profiles.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Send you the automated updates, reminders, and notifications you have opted in to receive on WhatsApp.
  • Respond to your messages, enquiries, and support requests.
  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our services and website.
  • Keep records of consent and communications, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use WhatsApp contact information for unrelated advertising.

5. Messaging through WhatsApp

We send and receive messages using the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. and its affiliates (“Meta”). When you communicate with us on WhatsApp, your messages are also processed by WhatsApp and are subject to WhatsApp’s own Privacy Policy. We only use the WhatsApp Business Platform in accordance with Meta’s applicable terms and policies.

We send messages only to people who have opted in. We use your contact information solely to deliver the messages and updates related to the service or project you signed up for.

We send automated WhatsApp messages only after you have opted in — for example, by messaging us first, by requesting updates, or by giving explicit consent through a project you use.

You can stop receiving messages at any time by:

  • Replying STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE) to any WhatsApp message we send you; or
  • Emailing us at hello@velcore.dev with your request.

Once you opt out, we will stop sending you automated messages. We may retain a minimal record of your opt-out so that we can honour it.

Where data protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for sending you automated WhatsApp updates and marketing-style notifications.
  • Legitimate interests — for responding to your enquiries, operating and securing our services, and preventing abuse.
  • Legal obligation — where we are required to retain or disclose information by law.

8. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate, and only as needed. These may include:

  • Meta / WhatsApp — to deliver and receive WhatsApp messages.
  • Hosting & infrastructure providers — to host our website and process form submissions.
  • Email delivery providers — to send and receive email related to your enquiry.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above — for example, to provide the service, respond to enquiries, maintain a record of consent, and meet legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can request deletion earlier at any time (see below).

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including by service providers located outside your region. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. 13. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our website and messages may link to third-party sites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites; please review their own privacy policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
